Feeding and growing your koi

Your koi grow by being fed. Each koi eats one piece of food a day, and every day you feed it brings it closer to fully grown.

🍙 Getting koi food

Koi Food comes in packs of 5 pellets for 20 Koins. Tap Shop, then Items, and buy 1, 5, or 10 packs at a time. You start with 5 pellets to get going.

🐟 Feeding your koi

• From Home: tap your koi in the home pond, then tap Feed.
• From the Pond tab: tap the food button at the bottom of the pond to start feeding, then tap the water to drop some food. The nearest hungry koi swims over to eat. You can also tap a koi and then tap Feed.
• From your Collection: tap Pocket, then Collection, tap a koi, and tap Feed.
• From the Koi widget: tap Feed on the widget to feed your Buddy koi.

Each koi can be fed once a day, and you'll see Fed today once it has eaten. A little dot above a koi in the pond means it's ready for its meal. When everyone has eaten, you'll see All koi have been fed today!

🌱 Growth stages

Every day you feed a koi counts toward its growth:

• Fry: just hatched
• Juvenile: after 7 days of feeding
• Sub-adult: after 20 days
• Adult: after 40 days
• Elder: after 70 days, fully grown

Your koi's page in your Collection shows its stage, Days Fed, and Meals Fed. If you miss a day, your koi simply waits for its next meal. Fully grown koi still enjoy their daily food.
