Using Areas

Last updated: October 8, 2026

Areas let you group your habits around the things you want to focus on, so you can find them all in one place. Open the menu and tap Areas.

๐Ÿชฃ Create an area

Tap Start a new area. Pick a ready-made area like Calm, Movement, Nutrition, Productivity, Self-kindness, Sleep, Gratitude, Hygiene, Connection, or Cleaning, or tap Create my own area and give it a name.

Koi picks an icon to match your area's name. Koi Gold members can choose any icon they like.

โž• Add habits to an area

  • In an area, tap Add a new habit to create a habit that belongs to it.
  • Tap Add an existing habit to move habits you already have into it.
  • When creating or editing a habit, tap Add to an area and choose one.

Each habit can belong to one area. On Home, a habit shows its area's name underneath, like Habit ยท Sleep.

๐Ÿ“Š Area stats

Each area shows Done, the total number of times you've completed its habits, and Days active, the number of days you've completed at least one of them.

โธ๏ธ Pause, archive, or delete an area

Tap the ... button on an area to see your options:

  • Pause area: its habits take a break from your schedule and reminders. Resume the area whenever you're ready.
  • Archive area: its habits stop being scheduled and your progress is kept. Restore it any time from the Archived section.
  • Delete area: removes the area itself. Its habits stay with you and simply leave the area.
