Managing your koi

Tap Pocket, then Collection, and tap a koi to open its page. The button in the bottom corner opens all of the options below.

⭐ Set as Buddy

Your Buddy is the koi that swims in your home pond and on the Koi widget, and the one your friends see. Choose Set as Buddy to pick a new one.

✏️ Renaming a koi

Tap your koi's name to edit it, or tap Shuffle name for an idea. Clear the name to go back to its variety name.

❤️ Favourites

Mark a koi as a favourite to keep it safe. Favourites can't be released or gifted until you unfavourite them.

🌙 Letting a koi rest

Let rest moves a koi out of your pond while keeping it in your collection. Choose Put in pond whenever you'd like it back.

🏷️ Organising with tags

In the Koi tab of your Collection, tap Tags to see Favourites, Resting, and any tags you create. Tap + to make a tag with its own name and color. To tag a koi, open its page and choose Tags, or long-press koi in your Collection to select several at once. A koi can have as many tags as you like.

🕊️ Releasing a koi

Release sets a koi free for good. Koi asks you twice before letting it go, because this can't be undone. Your Encyclopedia keeps its discovery.

🐟 How many koi can I keep?

As many as you like. Your pond has room for all of them.
