Themes and scenery

🎨 Themes

Themes change the look of the whole app. Open the menu and tap Themes, or tap Themes in the top corner of Shops.

• Light and Dark are free for everyone.
• Earn more themes by raising koi. Each time one of your koi grows to Juvenile (7 days of feeding), you earn a theme credit. Tap a theme, then tap Unlock with koi credit, and it's yours to keep.
• Koi Gold unlocks every theme, including Gold themes like Galaxy, Aurora, Kintsugi, and Lantern.

Tap any theme you own to apply it. If your Gold membership ends, Koi switches to Light or Dark, keeps the themes you unlocked with credits, and brings your Gold theme back when you rejoin.

🏞️ Scenery

Scenery sets the scene for your pond, with its own backdrop and sounds.

1. On the Pond tab, tap the crate button to open your collection.
2. Open the Scenery tab.
3. Tap a scenery you own to make it active, or buy a new one with Koin.

Some scenery comes with Koi Gold. Your decorations are saved separately for each scenery.

🎚️ Scenery sounds

Some sceneries have several layered sounds, like wind chimes or birds. Tap the settings button on the Pond tab to adjust each one under Track Mix. You can also fall asleep to scenery sounds. See Using Sleep sounds.
