How does my koi grow?

Your koi grows when you feed it. Buy koi food with Koin, then feed your koi once a day (each koi needs just one piece of food a day). Every day you feed it counts toward its growth, advancing it through five stages: Fry, Juvenile, Sub-adult, Adult, and Elder. It is fully grown at Elder, after about 70 days of feeding.

How do I feed my koi?

Tap your koi in the pond, from the home screen or the Pond tab, then tap Feed. Each koi eats one piece of food a day. Buy koi food with Koin from the food shop, and you can also feed from the Koi pond widget.

How do I change how my koi looks?

You can style your koi in a few ways. Dress it with accessories (hat, neck, and face items) from the Accessory Shop, apply a Shiny Pearl for a permanent shiny finish, or change your pond's look with themes. New koi varieties also arrive in their own colors and patterns.

Can I have duplicate koi?

Yes. An egg can hatch into a koi you already own, and that is fine. You can keep more than one of the same type, such as a baby and a fully grown one. Favourite a koi to protect it, and note that releasing a koi sets it free permanently and cannot be undone.

How do I earn Koin?

You earn Koin through your wellness routine: completing habits, logging trackers, writing reflections, finishing goals and milestones, and sending a daily vibe to a friend. Koi Gold members earn 2x Koin on these activities.

What can I spend Koin on?

Koin is used to buy koi food, new koi, accessories, and scenery. You earn it through play by keeping up your wellness routine.

📱 Widgets

My widget isn't updating

Home-screen widgets refresh in the background and when you open Koi, so they can take a moment to catch up. If a widget looks stuck, open the app to trigger a sync, then remove and re-add the widget, or restart your device.

🎉 Seasonal content

A seasonal event or new content isn't showing

Koi downloads new koi, items, and seasonal content in the background when you open the app. If something is missing, make sure you are online, then fully close and reopen Koi to trigger a fresh sync.

💾 Data

Where is my data stored?

Your Koi data is stored on your device. To keep it safe, open Your Data in the menu and create a backup, especially before switching devices or uninstalling. For the full steps, see Backing up and restoring your data.

💳 Billing

How do I get a refund?

Purchases and subscriptions are handled by the App Store or Google Play, so refunds are requested through your device's purchase history. If you cannot find your subscription, check that you are signed in with the same account and email you used to buy it.
